State inspections are a regular part of owning and operating a vehicle. All vehicles registered in New Hampshire must pass an annual safety inspection before registration can be renewed.
Vehicles model year 1996 and newer require an emissions inspection in addition to the safety inspection.
Nashua Wholesale Tire is an authorized state inspection station for safety inspections and emissions inspections. We serve Nashua, NH, Hudson, NH, Merrimack, NH and surrounding areas.
The New Hampshire state inspection includes checking the following:
If you have any questions about the safety inspection at our facility, call (603) 882-2545.
An On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) test is required on all vehicles less than 20 years old as part of the inspection process. The OBD system monitors performance of light duty passenger vehicles, including major components of the engine like the emission control components. The OBD alerts you when there is a defect that could cause excess pollution. It also helps mechanics identify the cause of performance problems so they provide the proper repair service.
After your state inspection is performed, the results are entered into a computer system and electronically transmitted to the DMV. If your vehicle passes the safety inspection and emissions test, you'll receive an inspection sticker. If your vehicle fails one or both inspections, you'll need to correct the problem and have your vehicle re-inspected.
